People are always asking me what the quickest way to get a flat stomach and a fresh set of abs muscles is…

- Is it doing countless sit ups everyday? Nope

- Should I be jogging around on my tread mill? No, that’s a waste of time.

- Should I go out and buy an ab machine or some weight loss pills? For Goodness Sake, NO!

We’ve been spoon fed by the media to think that this type of stuff is what’s going to get us that toned stomach or chiseled looking abs, this all couldn’t be further from the truth.

First of all you have to work your body hard enough so that it responds by burning off fat cells and calories… Doing sit ups is not going to get this type of response, it doesn’t send the right message to your body so to speak.

Treadmills or ab machines won’t get you far either, if you’re going to run, run on a track or outside… Run up hills or do wind sprints, you’ll see much better results this way.

Also, there’s no need to work your ab muscles so much… You need more of a full body work out, no matter what shape you’re in. People are always trying to isolate fat loss, this is impossible, an imaginary thing made up by the weight loss media.

Your body chooses where to burn fat from when you’ve generated the right metabolic response, and in most cases where you’re just working one set of muscles, all you’re doing is making those muscles stronger but you’re not burning a lot of fat.

I think that this is why athletes always have such good abs because they are constantly doing wind sprints and those types of work outs.
