The Motivation Sensation
Motivation. How do people stay motivated to exercise? Most people are not motivated to do anything in life let alone exercise, which is a sad thing because they lose track of their dreams and goals.
There are many ways you can use to stay motivated; aging, sports, and looking good. Aging is the first that will be covered. Why not use age as a reason to stay in shape, getting older and being in the best shape you can possibly be in throughout life. Walking around like a cripple at 55 years old does not appeal to most and therefore it should be a great motivator.
It is a lot easier to start an exercise program and succeed with it when you are younger, rather than trying to start one later in life. Being in the fitness field, the number one thing people tell me is that they wished they would have started exercising when they were younger. Everyone should start when they are younger and never stop. This is what I am going to live by, and a huge reason for me to stay motivated with. I want to live my life as healthy as possible, and not dying for the last half of it. So get your butt exercising now!
Another motivator is sports. Most people have dreams of sports and either playing in the pros or having a child play in the pros. Because most do not make it to the pros, they continue to keep their body in top notch shape so they can dominate whatever sport they choose to play in. In my mind, I am better than Brett Favre, maybe he will read this and we can go through a series of challenges and see who is better. On a serious note, I stay in better shape so that I am the best person on the court, or on the field. Striving to be the best is great for staying motivated, and being the best is also a great motivator.
The last motivator is looking good. We all can look good but it takes hard work with exercise. So why not look good, the hard work (exercise) makes you a better person mentally and physically, not to mention the confidence you have when you look good! There are many ways out there that people use to stay motivated, find a few for yourself and live by them.
