The Best Ways To Boost Your Metabolism For More Fat Loss

When you want to lose body fat, it’s essential to increase your metabolic rate, which is the rate at which your body burns calories for energy. If you boost your metabolism your body will be in the perfect state to lose body fat much faster than it normally would.

Believe it or not, one of the best ways to boost your metabolism is to eat. Yes, consuming food will actually boost your metabolic rate. Because of this, it’s better to eat 5 or 6 small meals every day rather than 2 or 3 large ones. Eating two or three larger meals means that there will be a longer period of time in between each meal, which will cause your body to store more calories as fat because it feels that it might not get fed anytime soon after a big meal. In a way, it’s sort of like what happens to animals that hibernate in the winter time.
Constantly eating smaller meals throughout the day will prevent your body from entering this state and give you a boost in your metabolic rate, as well as more energy. Of course, you must make sure that your meal portion sizes are much smaller if you eat five or six times a day. This can be tough to do if you are constantly busy, so it’s best to prepare your meals ahead of time. This will prevent you from eating the wrong types of food, fast food in particular. In simple terms, you eat half as many calories as you normally would per meal, or less if you need to lose a lot of weight, but eat twice as often. The meals you eat should also to be protein-rich and have high nutrition value. It’s best get most of your carbohydrate intake in your first few meals of the day and less in your later ones so they won’t be as likely to be stored as fat. You’ll be surprised how much eating smaller meals more often will raise your metabolism and help you burn more fat.

Doing cardiovascular exercise will also help boost your metabolism. While longer, lower intensity cardiovascular workouts may burn away more calories while you’re exercising, shorter and more intense cardio sessions will keep your metabolic rate higher after you are finished working out. You may want to try performing your cardio workouts for a medium period of time, doing low intensity exercise with some bursts of more intense training done every few minutes. These bursts should last between 30 seconds and one minute before doing low intensity training again. Every few minutes do another intensity boost. Doing this will help you keep your metabolic rate higher for a longer period of time after your workout is through.

Another one of the best ways to increase metabolism is to do some weight training. Intense weight training will help you build more muscle mass. This increase in muscle size will give you a higher resting metabolic rate, which means that you’ll be burning more calories and fat even when you aren’t doing any type of exercise. Follow a bodybuilding exercise routine where you split the muscles of the body into three separate workouts – either chest and back one workout, arms the next, and legs on the last day: or chest, shoulders, and triceps during one workout, back and biceps the next, and legs during the last workout. Doing this will allow you to hit every muscle group hard when you train them and get plenty of recovery time between workouts. Performing weight training workouts too often or doing too many sets and exercises during your workouts will eventually cause overtraining. Chronic overtraining can cause you to actually lose muscle mass in the long run, which will have a negative effect on your metabolic rate.

Most women avoid weight training because they are afraid it will make them too big. However, you ladies don’t need to worry as long as you keep your reps per set higher and focus most of your efforts on training your lower body. Anyway, adding some muscle to your butt and thighs will give you a more pleasing shape when you get rid of unwanted body fat.

In closing, a combination of eating smaller portion meals more often, cardiovascular exercise, and weight training workouts will give your body a boost in metabolism and put you well on your way to losing extra body fat and improving the overall shape of your body.
